Throughout my two years at Kent State University, I have had the opportunity to learn various ways to evaluate and collect data. I have conducted surveys, curriculum audits, needs assessments, and visited a plethora of schools and interviewed many administrators. Also, I have formed many teams of families, students, community members, and staff to design action plans. Additionally, I have created action plans to solve a challenge in a school community. Every action plan has been supported by research based solutions. While completing an internship at an urban middle school, I had the opportunity to work with administrators and analyze and evaluate discipline data. After reviewing the data, I created a team and we discussed questions

Administrators Visit
While in my internship I had the opportunity to visit four schools to discuss with educational leaders their vision, mission, current practices, and learn the importance of educational leadership. Each leader was unique but all had a common overarching theme to see a positive change in their school community. They immersed themselves in research and supported their staff to do the same to build a moral understanding of the goal that they have for their school community. I hope to continue this work and meet with many other administrators and learn from them as I grow as an instructional leader.
